R.E.I.P

Refugee Economic
Impact Program

In 2014, ISIS swept through Northern Iraq on a slaughtering campaign. Fleeing from this terror, Syrian families began flooding over the southern border of Turkey. Several thousand landed in the city of Diyarbakir. The Turkish government has made efforts to help these refugees, as they wait to see if they can safely return to Syria.

Currently approximately 3.6 million are lanquishing in Turkey, trying to survive as they wait.  A small church started helping these women, by providing food cards and eventually started a Women’s crafts program.

Originally the program was developed to bring healing, through music and arts. Watching these women not being able to meet their basic needs, they starting selling the products in order to support their families and R.E.I.P was born.

In 2019 Glocal Connection was connected to R.E.I.P and we have been collaborating to develop their products and implement a production process; to provide a platform for these women to sell their products throughout US.

Your purchase has a direct impact in the lives, the sales go back to the women in order to provide for their families.

Thank you for your purchase and support!
